Provider Resources & Training Opportunities
The Knox County Board of DD believes collaborating with providers is essential to improving the lives of people with disabilities. Through positive relationships, training and guidance we strive to help make the requirements of being a provider as simple as possible so they can focus on what really matters: supporting people with disabilities.
Certified Independent Providers are required to have 8 hours training annually. 2 hours must come specifically from DODD and the other 6 must be in components of quality care, health and safety and positive behavioral support.
The county board offers training throughout the year that count towards the additional 6 hours including recorded trainings that can be found on our Learning Library.
Provider Meetings
Throughout the year the county board offers Provider Meetings that keep you updated on requirements. Providers are encouraged to attend. Dates and times are emailed to Providers.
