Parents & caregivers of children with educational plans (IEPs, 504s, etc.) and/or served by KCBDD, Help Me Grow or Early Intervention, and their siblings are welcome to attend.

Family Connections Program

Family Connections is a new program that is all about making connections! Knox DD will host a family-friendly event each month to provide you the opportunity to:

Connect with families who have similar, shared experiences.

Connect kids with their peers through play with activities provided at each event.

Connect to your community by exploring family-friendly sites in

Knox County that support an inclusive community.

Connect to resources available to you and your family.

July Event Details

Activities for kids will include an art project using crayon and markers to create character from kids books (see examples). For July, we are breaking the event into two groups due to the space

in the art studio. 5pm-6pm - for kids ages 4-6 | 6:30pm-7:30pm - for kids ages 7-11. If you have a group of kids that span both age groups, please contact me. While your kids have fun, enjoy some time to get to know fellow parents and caregivers.

Jenn from Brickhouse Grind will be available to share details about the programs they offer throughout the year. Light refreshments will be served.
